 "Medical Education Commission released the available seats for different programs under Common Entrance Examination(CEE)."




MEC published the available seats for different programs including MBBS, BDS, etc on 31st Jestha 2078. The first Common Entrance Examination(CEE) is yet to happed due to the ongoing COVID attack.

The online entrance form was closed in Baishakh and all of the forms have been checked and verified. You must ensure your form approved. If you have not checked it yet, you can check from the link below:

Medical Examination In Nepal

Every year more than 5000 students compete for medical courses in Nepal. With total available seats only just above 1500 and nominal scholarship seats, the competition is tough. Students completing their +2 in Biology Science with subjects Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology compete in CEE. The marks distribution for each subject are as follows:

Question Pattern asked will be Single option correct multiple choice question. Each question will have four options A,B,C and D and you will have to choose the best option by filling the circle with black pen in OMR Sheet provided. The time for entrance examination will be 3 hours. 

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS/BDS/BSc Nursing/BASLP/B Perfusion Technology 

a.Passed 10+2 Science or equivalent (including Physics, Chemistry and Biology) with 50 percent average in total marks or GPA 2.4 OR 
Secured the Percentage identical to above eligibility with reference to the certificate level programs (A-Level) with different grading system OR
b. Applicants who have completed a Health Science Proficiency Certificate/Diploma (General Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Optometry) are eligible to apply.

BAMS/BSc MLT/BSc MIT/BPT/BPharm/B Optometry 

a. Passed 10+2 Science or equivalent (including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) with 50% aggregate total marks or GPA 2.4 OR Secured the percentage equivalent to above eligibility in certificate level programs (e.g. A-Level) with a different grading system OR
Applicants who have completed the Health Science Proficiency Certificate/Diploma (General Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Ophth, Dental Science, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Radiography, Physiotherapy) are eligible to apply having at least 50% aggregate in total marks AND 
c. As part of a linked educational program, registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council, Nepal Pharmacy Council, or Nepal Ayurveda Council.

BPH (Bachelor in Public Health) 

a. Passed 10+2 Science or equivalent (including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) with 50% aggregate total marks or GPA 2.4 OR Secured the percentage corresponding to above eligibility in certificate level programs (A-Level) with alternative grading systems. OR 
b. Applicants who have received at least a 50% aggregate in total marks in the Health Science Proficiency Certificate/Diploma (General Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Ophthalmic Science, Dental Science, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Nursing, Radiography, Physiotherapy).
c. As required by law, registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council, Nepal Pharmacy Council, Nepal Nursing Council,  Nepal Ayurveda Council or as per educational institute.

BNS (Bachelor in Nursing Science) 

a. A Proficiency Certificate Level/ Diploma in Nursing with a minimum of 50% in total marks.  
b. be a member of the Nepal Nursing Council.


Tips to good marks in CEE

1. Make a habit of regular study.
2. Start with the theory and go for question bank.
3. Consider looking into past questions.
4. If you feel better only doing MCQs, explore more and more question.
5. If you are a note keeping guy, revise your note again and again.
6. Read the question carefully before filling the bubble in OMR.
7. Create your own mnemonics and remembering ideas.
