Urgent Notice for CEE Appearing Students 2021

 Common Entrance Examination Nepal - "MEC published a notice regarding choosing of the exam centers for CEE appearing students."

Medical Education Commission this Monday published a notice regarding selection of appropriate centers for students considering the travel difficulty in the pandemic period. Now students have to login to their portal in official site of MEC and choose the appropriate center for their Examination.

When is CEE 2021 happening in Nepal?                                                                                                                                                                    

 

 This is actually a good news for students outside the valley. Because in previous years students need to come to the valley to appear for medical examinations for TU, KU, PAHS and other universities. But centers for BPKIHS were in Dharan and Biratnagar. Now centers will be distributed to major cities like Biratnagar, Chitwan, Nepalgunj, etc where many students belong or where they can easily reach.

Why is the Common Entrance Exam (CET) important?

Before a year or two, medical and paramedical entrance examination were held by different universities. IOM was responsible for medical and para-medical entrance examination of Tribhuwan University. Similarly, KU and BPKIHS had their own. With entrance fees around NRs. 4000 for each examination of different universities. Giving entrance itself was difficult for many applicants.

Government of Nepal decided to convert all medical and paramedical entrance examinations to a common Exam for +2 passed students. So, Medical Education Commission was formed in order to conduct the entrance exam. CEE(Common Entrance Exam) was given to the very examination.

CEE was to be held in 2020 for the first time in Nepal but due to ongoing Pandemic. It is yet to be held. The online form opened in Chaitra of 2077 and ended in Baishakh of 2078. The process was going on smoothly but Nepal was hit with the second wave of pandemic and entrance examination was postpond for unknown time.

Now, after the number of COVID patients is decreasing MEC is planning to conduct entrance examination as soon as possible.

Step by step procedure

Students can choose appropriate examination centres from 10a.m of Ashad 9 to 5p.m of Ashad 10. So, basically it is a two days notice. Within two days students have to go to the official site of MEC and login to their portal and select examination center.

Step 2: Click on Check Status

Step 3: Fill up the required information. You can get your information from the confirmation page, you received after filling up the form in Chaitra/Baishakh.

Step 4: Click on choose exam center

Step 5: Select exam center according to your preference

Step 6: Click on Save

When is CEE 2021 happening in Nepal?

CEE is most likely to happen in Shrawan. But according to officials they are ready to conduct examination by 26^th of Ashad if they get permission from COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC).
